The beautiful Palace Theater in Syracuse, NY was the venue
for our first Ground Truth screening and panel discussion.
Over 200 people attended the Thursday evening event,
including veterans from nearby From Drum, and military families
from as far away as Rochester.
The panelists included:
Kevin & Joyce Lucey, whose son Jeffrey's lack of care
and subsequent suicide has been the focus of national media, and
who's story is featured in the film;
Joe & Diane Godfrey of Mexico, NY who's son, Joe Jr,
died after he was denied the ability to see a doctor for over
three months, even after being medically retired from the Army
following his service in Iraq; and
Dr. Bill Cross, a West Point graduate and Vietnam
Veteran, specializing the care and treatment of PTSD.
